Vaughan prepared the resource consent application for an upgrade to the lower levels of 45 Queen Street and managed the project through the Council resource consent processes.
The existing building at 45 Queen Street presented very poorly to the street. In response to the client’s brief for an upgrade to the street frontage, the design by Ignite Architects has been transformational.
In addition to the outstanding design, the pre-application processes were the key to achieving a positive and timely consenting outcome. Early Council involvement began with the appointment of an experienced processing team and included ongoing consultation with the Council planner and urban designer, and a well-received presentation to the Urban Design Panel.
